Harvard College
Class of 2017

Office of the Mayor
South Bend, IN

Mark is a senior in Winthrop House studying government. Born and raised in the Indianapolis area, he graduated from Avon High School in 2014 and remains a Hoosier at heart.

On campus, Mark is the managing editor for Harvard Political Review, a nonpartisan undergraduate political publication on campus. He also serves as a peer advising fellow for freshmen, helping them arrive and thrive during their first year.

Mark’s interest in public service was awakened during his experience interning for the US Conference of Mayors during the summer of 2015. There, he discovered the pull of local government in prioritizing results over partisanship.

This past summer, he delved further into his interest in local government and public service while serving the Office of the Mayor in South Bend, IN. Mark was excited to contribute to the South Bend community and learn the tools of effective local governance.
