Sean is a third-year law student at Harvard Law School (HLS) and will be pursuing a career in public defense after he graduates. He finds client-centered practice extremely rewarding, and is grateful that he will be spending his career serving and empowering indigent communities. At HLS, Sean volunteers at the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project providing research services and representation to prisoners throughout Massachusetts, and he also works with Harvard Defenders to represent low-income clients at criminal show-cause hearings. Previously, Sean clerked at the federal defender’s office in Los Angeles, and this past summer, he split 15 weeks between the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office and Metropolitan Public Defender Services in Portland, OR. Sean’s dream is to return to his hometown of San Gabriel, CA, to serve as a public defender for his community.
