*Healing and Resilience Initiative of the Faith Matters Network - Training faith leaders to expand movement chaplaincy
Nashville, Tennessee* **Anna Del Castillo** is a proud Mississippian, second generation Peruvian-Bolivian immigrant, womanist scholar, and faith-rooted activist for justice. She is pursuing a Master of Divinity as a Dean’s Fellow at Harvard Divinity School. Anna graduated *Magna Cum Laude* in 2018 from Tufts University where she studied International Relations and Colonialism Studies. At Tufts she served as the student body vice president and the Senior Baccalaureate Speaker. At Harvard she is a Proctor for First-year students, serves as the Divinity School Representative on the Harvard Graduate Council, leads a community space of healing and resilience for students from underrepresented backgrounds called DivEx Now, and serves on the leadership team for the Feminist Studies in Religion, INC. She is a member of Harvard’s Prison Education Program and works with incarcerated students through the Partaker’s College Behind Bars program. Anna is beyond excited to join the FMN team and work on the Daring Compassion Movement Chaplaincy project. As a fellow she will help advance the emerging vocational role of Movement Chaplain— leaders who offer spiritual, emotional, relational and practical holistic care— to those in social change movements. She hopes to use her work and educational experiences to create spaces for healing and support work centered around racial justice and collective liberation.
