*Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund* *San Antonio, TX* Jessica is a second-year law student from Ann Arbor, MI. After graduating from Yale in 2013, she spent a year teaching English in Cologne, Germany as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. She then worked for two years as a paralegal at Paul, Weiss in New York City, before coming to Harvard Law School to pursue a career in civil rights litigation. At Harvard, Jessica is a member of the Harvard Immigration Project. As a co-director of one of the projects, she supervises student-attorneys as they assist clients in their adjustment of status applications. She is also an editor of the Harvard Law Review and a resident tutor in Winthrop House. This past summer, she worked at the ACLU of Michigan, where she worked on a case halting the sudden deportation of Iraqi nationals around the country. After graduation, Jessica will clerk in Houston and Maryland before starting a career in civil rights and immigration impact litigation.
