Pranav Ganta is a rising senior at Harvard College studying Neuroscience with a concurrent masters in Chemical Biology and a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Currently the chair of the Medical Law and Policy Forum at Harvard College, he is passionate about addressing health inequities through a framework that combines medical and legal approaches.

Pranav has also engaged deeply with medical, policy, and legal research himself as a researcher at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. His research efforts span developing novel immunotherapies to treat brain cancer, integrating machine learning and patent law to predict drug pricing, and devising regulatory frameworks to govern AI equipped medical devices. He has presented his medical and policy research to members of the Congressional Neuroscience Caucus, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Pfizer, and more. Beyond the U.S., Pranav has worked with foreign governments such as the New Zealand Parliament where he helped introduce new evidence to reform and pass legislation seeking to reduce alcohol related mortalities.

Outside of school, he has founded the MedLaw Alliance as a Millenium Fellow to bridge the gaps in quality healthcare by expanding the network of free medical clinics and pro bono legal work connected to Boston refugee centers such that newly arrived immigrants can apply for health insurance and gain access to sustained healthcare. This summer, Pranav looks forward to continuing similar work with Lumiere Health International. By integrating policy research, institutional partnership formation, case management, and expanding access to legal and forensic medical care, Pranav aims to further solidify a pathway for asylum seekers to access medical care without legal barriers.
