Kevin was born and raised in Stamford, CT. In 2006 he was nominated for an appointment to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Kevin graduated from the Naval Academy with a BS in mechanical engineering and was commissioned in May 2010 as a second lieutenant in the US Marine Corps. While at the Naval Academy, Kevin served in several leadership roles including as captain of the men’s lightweight rowing team.

As a Marine, Kevin graduated first in his class at the Basic School and was selected for training as a marine infantry officer. Kevin reported to 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, in Camp Pendleton, CA, in July 2011 and served with the unit until August 2015, completing his service with the rank of captain. Kevin held leadership billets as a platoon commander, company executive officer, and company commander both in garrison and during a combat deployment to Helmand province, Afghanistan.

Kevin is pursuing both an MBA and an MPP in a joint-degree program at the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he is a Rubenstein Fellow in the Center for Public Leadership. This past summer, Kevin interned with the White House Joining Forces Initiative in the Office of the First Lady to ensure that service members, veterans, and their families have the tools they need to succeed.
