Bella Evans
Women’s Law Project | Pittsburgh, PA
Bella Evans is a rising senior at Harvard College pursuing a joint concentration in Sociology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, with a secondary in Psychology. Originally from Orcas Island, Washington, Bella is passionate about gender rights, legal advocacy, and the intersection of law and social inequality.
At Harvard, Bella is involved in several organizations centered around advocacy, leadership, and community support. She serves as Community Engagement Director for the Small Claims Advisory Service, where she works to expand access to legal resources and engage the broader Harvard pre-law community. She is also a Staff Writer for the Harvard Undergraduate Law Review, a member of the Harvard Undergraduate Women in Law Association, a volunteer with ECHO Peer Counseling, and the Chair of the Harvard Political Union.
Since June 2025, Bella has interned with Rise, a nonprofit organization that empowers survivors of sexual violence through community-based advocacy, policy, and service. Through this role, she has participated in national outreach initiatives in communities disproportionately affected by violence and compiled memos on contemporary political issues to support survivor-centered advocacy efforts. Her work with Rise strengthened her commitment to pursuing a career at the intersection of law and public service.
This summer, Bella will work at the Women’s Law Project, a public interest legal organization dedicated to advancing gender justice and protecting the rights of women, girls, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Through this experience, she hopes to deepen her understanding of gender rights law, contribute to impactful legal advocacy, and continue pursuing a career focused on equity and social justice.
