Elizabeth (Liz) Poulos was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Williams College where she earned a B.A. in History and a Certificate in French. During college, Elizabeth organized for immigration reform and social justice with Community Change in Washing, DC, working closely with the Fair Immigration Reform Movement and the Fair Immigration Reform Movement Action to advocate for migrant justice for all immigrant families.

After graduating from Williams in 2019, Elizabeth worked as a teaching fellow in the banlieue of Paris. In Paris, Elizabeth worked with Serve the City Paris as a refugee and asylee case volunteer, connecting with applicants and preparing them for their interviews with French Immigration Services.

Presently, Elizabeth is a graduate student at Harvard Divinity School pursuing an M.T.S. with a focus on Religion, Ethics, and Politics. At Harvard, Elizabeth seeks to explore, through her program, the intersection between collective ethical commitment, structural inequality, and the politics of social justice. She is the co-president of the Responsible Organization Initiative at Harvard and works part-time teaching English to Harvard ESL employees with the Harvard Bridge Program. After receiving her M.T.S. at Harvard, Elizabeth hopes to pursue a J.D. to continue to advocate for immigration reform, social justice, and human rights through the law as a tool for structural-political transformation.
