Gustavo Luna, is a doctoral candidate in education leadership (Ed.L.D) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

 

As a first-generation college graduate, immigrant, and dual language learner from a low-socioeconomic background, Gustavo attributes his academic and professional success to mentors and educators who guided his education journey and introduced him to entrepreneurship.

He received a B.A in Public Administration from the California State University, Fresno and a Master’s of Education degree from Harvard. Today, Gustavo is an award-winning educator, entrepreneur, and leader.

 

At the age of 23, Gustavo launched his first education organization, rapidly scaling to include 120 educators serving a thousand students annually. He then led a youth leadership non-profit.

In 2018, Gustavo founded his second education company. Kern Tutoring provides districts with after-school and day-time intervention services. His latest project, EDGE, is an academic coaching initiative focused on supporting fostered youth earn a high school diploma. As a Public Narrative coach, Gustavo helps leaders, across the United States, utilize storytelling to advance initiatives, fund programs, and communicate impact.

 

This Summer, Gustavo is traveling to Navajo Nation (Kayenta, A.Z) and collaborating with school leaders to develop reading intervention programs for elementary students.
