Haley Stark, a rising senior in Quincy House, is pursuing a double concentration in Psychology and Theater, Dance & Media at Harvard College. Recognized twice as a John Harvard Scholar, Haley's commitment to her psychology education is extensive. She has contributed as a research assistant in two labs at Massachusetts General Hospital: The Dekel Lab, focusing on women’s health and traumatic childbirth, and The Eddie Lab, pioneering wearable technology for substance abuse disorder treatment. Additionally, Haley has contributed to research in the Gaab Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

 

A leader in public health education, Haley serves as co-Director of Education for Project UNITY, advocating for improved access to public health education nationwide. She also mentors underprivileged students as a senior mentor with Ivy Advisors and has contributed to sustainable finance research as a fellow at the Babson Graduate School of Business.

 

Haley has worked alongside Radcliffe Research Institute Fellow Peter Gray. Haley has authored and published her own memoir, "Tying The Ribbon," and donated proceeds to the United Spinal Injury Association. She has also contributed to "The Change Guidebook" by Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino, which won the 2023 Excellence Award in the Inspirational Category.

 

Currently, Haley is working on her senior thesis in Theater, Dance & Media. She has directed numerous productions for the Harvard Radcliffe Dramatics Club and The Lowell House Opera and serves as executive producer for an upcoming ballet production at the American Repertory Theater’s Loeb Experimental Stage.

 

As a proud member of the disabled community, Haley plans to spend this summer building an audio-visual, fully interactive map of Harvard while developing a template that other universities can use to improve campus accessibility.
