Stephanie Zhao is a rising junior in Cabot House studying Biology and Health Policy. On campus, she devotes her time as a director of the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, officer of PERIOD, IM Czar on Cabot HoCo, and leader of the House Advising Peer system within Cabot. She also can be frequently found spreading her love for Cabot House to anyone who will listen.

Growing up in Arkansas, Stephanie first developed an interest in public service while volunteering at a shelter for survivors of domestic violence. Upon coming to college, Stephanie continued to explore that passion at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, where she was able to witness how health is fundamentally influenced by inequities in social and economic environments. After college, Stephanie hopes to combine her interests in medicine and social justice, particularly in the realm of disparities in healthcare access.

This summer, Stephanie is excited to work at The Family Van where she will be exploring ways to improve continuity of care in the mobile health clinic model.
