The selection committee will make a tentative decision on your application if a sponsorship letter is not received by January 19, 2024. However, a sponsorship letter is required before we can confirm an award and it is advisable to submit it as soon as you have received it. After March 22, 2024, the committee will no longer be able to consider applicants who have not secured sponsorship.
Yes. Travel expenditures, living costs, and summer income are eligible expenses, though ordinarily award amounts will not exceed $6,000 for undergraduates and $8,000 for graduate and professional School students.

When you successfully submit your application, it triggers two responses:

You will also receive an email from admin@communityforce.com confirming submission. (CommunityForce is the platform for the application online submission system.)
It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all components of the application are submitted by the deadline, including recommendations. You should inform your recommender of this deadline. If your recommender cannot submit on time, you may wish to consider a different recommender.
Only a Harvard registrar’s office can create an official transcript. All other transcripts (e.g., those printed from a My.Harvard account or a photocopy or image of an official transcript) are considered unofficial.
